AARON KRIENKE - LEAD |
Born and raised in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, I started singing at a young age. Coming from a musical family, I spent time traveling to churches putting on concerts within southern Minnesota. The “Krienke Cousins” even toured Quito, Ecuador. During my high school and college years, I was a member of many choirs, and toured throughout the United States. I also participated in a choir trip to Germany & Austria. I graduated from Crown College, with a B.A. in Business Administration, and returned to the College as the Tour Manager in the Office of Admissions. My duties included developing and scheduling several different vocal teams, along with a number of ministry teams for the purpose of visiting local churches and recruiting potential students.
After hearing the Gaither Vocal Band and The Cathedrals, something within me started stirring and I was prompted to start my own group. Over 14 years, as a part of “Stand Your Ground” Quartet, I traveled to many cities across the United States. Over the years, I have seen audiences of all ages captivated not only by Gospel Music and personal testimony, but also by the unique use of humor, joy, and actions displayed on and off stage. Currently, I reside in Staples, MN and serve as Manager of a local Dairy Queen. After taking a break from singing with Stand Your Ground Quartet, I became the newest member of The Chancellors in 2015. Now, just over a year later, I know it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The music quality, integrity of the group, and love for our Savior far exceeds any expectation I may have had. It’s been fun for me to meet longtime fans of the Chancellors at concerts, and also to familiarize new people with our ministry. I Love to encourage people in song and inspire them to a deeper devotion for our Savior. My prayer is that they see Christ living within me. |
My goal is not only to entertain, but to be identifiable and approachable – in a word, real. It’s always extra special to see familiar faces at one of our concerts, and to have friends and family continue their support in my musical endeavors.
One of my favorite scripture verses is Ephesians 6:13. “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand”.
What a privilege it has been to be a part of such a great heritage of The Chancellors, and to continue that legacy for generations to come. Our love for Christ as a group is clearly the focal point and foundation of our ministry, and I am grateful to be a part of next generation of The Chancellors!
