IAN LINDSAY - TENOR |
With great excitement, The Chancellors announce the return of Ian Lindsay to fill the vacated Tenor position. Most Chancellors fans will be familiar with Ian from years back, and recognize his powerful Tenor voice on several of the group’s most popular recordings. When Ian first heard the group was once again looking for a Tenor, he realized God might once again be calling him back to the group. Here’s what Ian had to say:
“I tried out for the Chancellors in the spring of 2000. They knew I was a tenor, but Harold, the founder, was considering retirement from the group and they were looking for a baritone to replace him. I hadn’t sung baritone before but, could hit all the notes. It wasn’t too many days before I got a call back from Harold asking me if I could join them but sing tenor. Between the time of my original tryout and Harold’s callback, their tenor had stepped down. I could see God’s hand in the process the whole time and it was pretty amazing! Needless to say, Harold hung around for a few more great years." "I guess you could call me the group “Retread.” I left the Chancellors in 2005 to fill the Music Pastor position at Bethel Assembly, in south Minneapolis. Five years later, I returned to the Chancellors, filling the Lead spot. After five more years of being with the Chancellors, I was forced to resign again because of work schedule conflicts. And now in 2018, I’m back once again for more!" "As I contemplate my past, I am reminded of God’s hand in our lives and I can’t help but be enthusiastic for the future He holds. I’m excited, as I look forward to meeting Chancellor Friends – old and new on the road before us!” It’s been evident that God continues to provide for the group in every way! The Chancellors are so thrilled to welcome back Ian Lindsay. |
