I've just boarded flight #5228,
Minneapolis to Knoxville, with a brief stop in St. Louis. I'm tired and
homesick but I have such a wonderful feeling of accomplishment. We've just
completed trax on the Chancellors newest project, "Hide Thou
Me". All I can tell you is you are about to experience true Southern
Gospel Quartet singing at its finest! The combination of great song
selection, wonderful attitudes, "hot trax" and the talents of these
four men with their vocals have given Southern Gospel music a project it can be
proud of. I first met the Chancellors about 12 years ago when they
contacted me about playing on their project. I gladly accepted and what a
wonderful relationship I've developed with these great Christian
men. Getting to write these liner notes will give me an
opportunity to say some things about these guys that they are
probably too humble to say about themselves.

First, Ian: this project was
my first introduction to this young man. I feel that he is one of the
finest tenors in Southern Gospel today! He possesses a unique and
distinctive voice. He sings from his heart and I know that you'll be able
to tell that his heart is full of the Lord.
Next we come to Harold. I have
a great deal of respect for this man. Not only does he have a rich, smooth
baritone voice, but he has a wisdom about him which is probably the
"glue" that holds the quartet together! I'm very proud to call
him my friend.
Jim was the one who I actually met
first. Since then, I've seen and heard this man sing with so much feeling
and authority; he is a perfect example of what a lead singer should be. He
is someone who dearly loves to sing and be in a quartet. Jim can evermore
"carry the mail!"

Lastly, Mike. I was privileged
to stay with Mike and his family in their home while working on this project and
what a blessing he has become to me. After talking with this man you can't
help but feel how much he loves God. He has a fantastic "ear"
for parts and a great knowledge of what a true bass singer is supposed to
be. His range is just wonderful!
These four men love singing and when
you put this and their love of God together, it's "magic"! I've
been a part of many recordings through the years; this ranks as one of my
favorites! So sit back, relax and let the Chancellors Quartet minister to
you through Southern Gospel Quartet singing that is second to none!
Harold, Jim, Mike, Ian, Chris,
Scott, and Gary, I love you guys. Thanks for including me.
